who are they?
1964 the tribute is considered the number one beatles tribute in the world. the band is composed of mark benson, gary grimes, tom work, and terry manfredi. their liverpudlian accents are so good, even real liverpudlians are fooled. they've been playing this beatles show for over twenty years now and hope to keep it going for more years to come.
mark benson (john)
mark started playing guitar when he was seventeen. however, he was introduced to music at an earlier age; he tried out the drums and piano when he was just eight. he is now a luthier, meaning he can build and repair stringed instruments.
gary grimes (paul)
gary learned to play bass left-handed to better portray paul mccartney in the show. he became a warner brothers recording artist when he was nineteen. he has made his own solo album, starhand visions, released on vinyl in 1982 and re-released on cd in 2002. he may release more of his original material in the near future.
tom work (george)
tom started learning how to play beatles songs when he was only ten. he was in 1964 the tribute when it first started in 1984. some years later he left the band and was out of it for over twelve years, but he rejoined it in spring of 2006. he's a very talented guitarist and seems to be having a lot of fun being back in the band.
terry manfredi (ringo)
